We are excited to invite you to attend a Sustainability Speaker Series event, Food: A grassroots future. The event will run on Thursday January 26th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a panel discussion from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on the University of Calgary’s campus. The focus of the panel is the impact of food on our environment, from city to pasture, and how emerging methods of urban and peri-urban agriculture present different choices to consumers, food security and sustainable food systems.
The President of Slow Food Calgary, and Owner Operator of Blue Mountain Biodynamic Farm, Kris Vester, will be on the panel of the event which promises to informative, educational, and engaging. If you are interested in food sustainability and all the associated issues, this is a must attend event!
