Join Slow Food Calgary and Friends on Saturday June 24th for another Secret Farm Picnic to celebrate the summer solstice, good, clean, fair local food and drink complemented by the remarkable story of Custom Woolen Mills.
Our chef for this outdoor feast will be Jason Barton-Browne from Hayloft in Airdire, Alberta.
The menu will include spit roasted chickens and grilled pork sausages from various local suppliers in Mountain View County, local breads, cheese from Dancing Goat Farms and a complement of early summer produce.
Live music will be provided by Ruth Purves-Smith.
For those who require, a bus will be leaving from Calgary - Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association at 4:00pm and returning back to City by 9:30pm.
NEW THIS YEAR! Want to take full advantage of the night? For only $5 per adult (16+) you can camp for the night! You'll need to bring all of your own camping gear - we will not be able to supply anything but a spot to pitch, good company, and hopefully a beautiful night. A simple and delicious breakfast will be provided to those who spend the night.
Please make sure to purchase a return bus ticket if you would like a ride!
