General Information

As a member of the local chapter, you help strengthen the linkages and add one more voice to spreading the word about the wonderful products available locally.

Membership options

• Individual membership ($90 Cdn)
• Additional and/or family ($20 Cdn)
• Junior membership ($45 Cdn)

Note: $30 of this membership fee is retained by the Calgary club to support local events and activities and the balance goes to Slow Food International to support the growth of the Slow Food movement globally.

Membership includes

• A personal International Slow Food membership card
• Four consecutive issues of the quarterly Slow Food magazine – SLOW
• Introductory Slow Food movement booklet
• Opportunities to participate in world-wide initiatives & activities
• Discounts on Slow Food publications & Slow Food Calgary events

Membership registration and payment
Memberships are paid to Slow Food International (Italy) in Euros. The amounts shown here, in Canadian dollars (Cdn), are conversions based on current exchange rates at time of printing. Additional/Family membership is only available when combined with an Individual Membership for members living in the same household. It does not entitle the additional member to receive a second subscription to the magazine “SLOW”. Each additional/family member is entitled to all other benefits of membership. Junior members are 26 years old and under. (Does not include the Slow Food journal.)

HOW TO BECOME A SLOW FOOD MEMBER…

There are two ways to join Slow Food

1. Sign up for a membership on-line via the Slow Food International web site and list Calgary as your home convivium. Click here to register through Slow Food International in Italy!
2. Sign-up at a Calgary Slow Food event. As of September 14, 2008, there will be an opportunity to become a Slow Food member at any Slow Food Calgary event.
